beginnings.

It started when I was a kid—flipping through fashion magazines, architecture books, and photo journals, not quite knowing what I was drawn to but knowing I felt something. Looking back, maybe it was a form of escape. Growing up wasn’t always warm or easy, and photography offered me a window into other worlds—places that sparked my imagination and gave me a different narrative to hold onto. That became my safe space.

When I began doing this professionally, it took me a while to even call myself creative. I didn’t grow up thinking I had a “creative gift.” But over time, this work—this craft—helped me find my voice and, in many ways, myself. I used to think I wasn’t meant for anything specific—that I could do whatever, be decent at it, and find happiness elsewhere. But the truth is, I can’t imagine doing anything else now.
